Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ismail

Professor Mohammad Ismail, PhD (Cambridge, UK), is the Chairman of Research & Integrated Thought (RIT) and a Professor in the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the University of Dhaka. He formerly served as the Vice-Chancellor of Noakhali Science and Technology University. With more than 20 years of experience in teaching, research, consultancy, and academic administration, his expertise covers energy and environment, climate change, carbon capture, clean and renewable fuels, pollution control, and waste management. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed research articles, managed numerous nationally and internationally funded projects, and worked as a consultant for organisations including UNDP, ADB, the World Bank, and GIZ. Professor Ismail is committed to advancing interdisciplinary research, institutional development, university-industry collaboration, and evidence-based solutions to environmental and sustainable development challenges.
